iPhone Tips & Tricks # 17 Customizing the Brightness of Your iPhone Display To Save Battery Power

Apple did pack in iPhone 4S a wide range of options for you to select from enabling you to customize your display so you can have it just the way you like it. Today we are going to discuss one of these tools, which is the brightness of the display. Although this may sound to many of you like a very obvious feature which you probably already know about, there are a few things that you should know before you select the level of brightness for your device.

How to, on iPhone

At first thought, most of us would like to raise the brightness of our iPhone 4 devices to the max hoping that this way we will be able to see better under any condition (even if we are out in the sun). There are some other factors you may want to consider before rushing into going for the excessive brightness level. As a matter of fact, the brighter you set your display the more battery power it will consume meaning that you will have a short battery life. This is why you don’t want to make your screen too bright. For those of you who are thinking that they will just rest their minds and tap Auto Brightness, this may not be a good choice because it is a little dimmer than most people would like it to be.

Another thing you might want to keep in consideration while selecting the brightness level is your cover. If you choose a low-priced cover that allow bubble formation underneath then this may act as a block you from seeing your retina display in the clarity it ought to be in. Another thing that has the same down effect is the dust formation. You may want to check these problems before thinking to raise the brightness level because you don’t see your screen as clear as it used to be.

Now that we have discussed why adjusting your brightness is important we will help you how.

Step 1: On your iPhone desktop tap Settings

Step 2: Select Brightness

Step 3: Set the brightness level you want by choosing where you stand on the bar which has low brightness level at one end and the highest level of brightness on the other.

This is an easy tip and may come in handy when your battery is about to drain and save you some battery power! Stay tuned for more on iPhone Tips and Tricks.
