We have previously discussed the differences in performance between Apple’s latest iPad and Nvidia’s Tegra 3. This was right after Apple claimed that the new iPad worked with four times better graphics performance than Tegra 3. After benchmark results were compared it was clear that Apple’s new iPad worked better than Tegra 3 in terms of providing faster and better graphics thanks to its A5X processor.IGN, a famous gaming website has carried out some benchmark tests and seem to have come with different results than the ones we have seen earlier. The test included the iPad 2’s A5 processor and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in addition to the new iPad’s A5X processor and Tegra 3 running on the ASUS Transformer Prime. Several tests were carried out including the GeekBench and GLBenchmark 2.1 Egypt and the results were found to be very interesting!

“As you can see, our independent testing indicates that the NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 offers increased CPU performance, while falling short of the A5X in terms of graphics, though not quite matching the Apple’s 4x claim. Of course, the only way to get true apples-to-apples results would be to test the chips on identical hardware on the same OS, but even our more imprecise methods showed impressive gains.”
