How To Jailbreak Your Apple TV2 On iOS 5.1 Using Seas0nPass Tethered Jailbreak:

You’ll firstly need to:

1) Download Seas0nPass to your PC or Mac.

2) Download iTunes 10.6.1.

3) Have a micro USB cable

4) Disconnect any device connected to your computer such as iPod, iPhone or iPad.

Now follow the steps from A to H to start jailbreaking your Apple TV:

A) Unzip the ‘Seas0nPass.zip’ file and launch Seas0nPass.



B) Select the ‘Create IPSW’ button to start the jailbreak process.

C) The latest AppleTV software will be downloaded and used to create a custom ‘jailbroken’ software file.



D) When prompted, connect your AppleTV to your Mac/PC using a micro-USB cable (leave power cable disconnected).

E) Once the light on the front of the AppleTV begins to flash rapidly, point the remote at the AppleTV and hold both the MENU and PLAY/PAUSE buttons for 7 seven seconds.

Note: This step will require the silver (aluminum) AppleTV remote that was included with the ATV2. Remember that the older, white (plastic) remotes will not work.



F) iTunes will open automatically and start the restore process.



G) iTunes will confirm the restore when complete

H) Congratulations!  You have successfully jailbroke your AppleTV
