It seems that Apple has trapped its iPhone devices in a certain image and now is regretting this step. IPhone devices have been looked at as a device which is very good when it comes to entertainment. Now Apple is might be regretting giving iPhone such an image as it makes it difficult for iPhone to compete with other devices which have a more professional image like Blackberry Storm for example.
In order to convince people that iPhone is much more than an entertainment product, Apple had to make a few changes. The most prominent changes were that Apple decided to include Apps like Stocks to tell those who are looking for professional devices “we have something for you too.”
This simply means that iPhone users will no longer have to use Safari to search the web to find out quickly what is going on in the stock market. Apple had Stocks integrated into your iPhone to provide you with quick brief details about the stock exchange market. Many believe that part of Apple’s success in the business world is partially due to moves like this as well as the introduction of iOS 5 and iCloud.
Stock is an integrated app. This means that this Application comes in with the newly released iPhone devices and is irremovable. We will now give you a brief idea on how Stocks works.
Stocks works in a way that is very similar to another application known as Weather. When you first open Stocks, you are welcomed with a selection of the most important information. You will find the immediate read outs for the NASDAQ, the Dow Jones Industrial average, and a few more. You can simply swipe your finger up or down to view more listed companies’ share price. Below that there is a graph showing the rise and fall in the market share for the last six months with an option to view up to the past two years! This can be pushed aside with a single finger sweep to view either financial information for Apple Inc or a list of the latest business stories. If you try tapping any of these, the application will redirect you to Safari where you can get a more detailed look. There is also a brief statement at the bottom to remind you whether the stock exchange market is still opened or has closed.
Now there is more to Stocks than this. You can customize the basic display by adding or removing the stocks you want to view at the first glance by adjusting your settings. This can be done by tapping on the icon on the lower right hand corner that stands for information.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Stay tuned for more iPhone tips and tricks.
