AppleNBerry, the company behind Gevey SIM unlock, has confirmed that their unlock for baseband 4.11.08 is in final stages.

I thought I made it clear, but I guess there are some miscommunications.
Good news, we are in the testing stage.
Bad news, I don’t want to promise anyone and get flame.
It is very difficult to not offend anyone.
The current available version of Gevey SIM unlock unlocks all iPhone 4 basebands except that 4.11.08 baseband. There’s no current solution that can unlock iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08.
Gevey SIM 4.11.08 baseband solution will be available sooner or later. There’s no word on the release date. If the results of this testing phase goes well then we can expect a video demo followed by a release soon!
For iPhone 4S users, MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team mentioned that the team is working on a “very promising 4S unlock”. We may not see ultrasn0w iPhone 4 unlock but we at least can see it for the 4S.
