In a head to head competition between Apple’s mobile browser Safari, known for its stability and good performance, and Google’s new Chrome for Android, Android Central, a famous Android blog, has demoed a video test showing both browsers in action.
So both Chrome on Android and Safari on the iPhone 4S score 100 out of 100 on the Acid3 test, which checks to see if the browser complies with various web standards. Good to see. SunSpider benchmarks how a browser handles Javascript tasks. Chrome on Android has consistently edged out Safari, in our testing.
While Andoroid Central found Chrome for Android to beat Apple’s Safari handling Javascripts. Both browsers handled Acid3test perfectly which tests a browser’s ability to compile various web standards.
When it comes to every browser user daily tasks like scrolling, zooming and panning, Safari showed excelling results beating its competitor with its smoother panning and zooming.
It’s probably worth noting that Chrome is still in beta version. It will probably improve in future updates.
