Apple’s value has crossed $500 billion. Its stock prices too are going higher and higher and are now beyond $540. This is something that no one expected just a couple of years ago. When the company launched iPhone, no one gave it much of a chance, but within six years after the launch of first iPhone the company has gone up from strength to strength becoming the biggest technology company in the world.
After iPad dazzled us with great features, Apple brought another product iPad tablet from nowhere. The earlier versions of slate had failed badly in the market, but Apple’s iPad went on to become a must have gadget for people across the world.
Last year Apple sold around 37 million iPad tablets and this year it is going to be more than 52 million units of iPad. This is going to take Apple shares even higher. Apple shares were being traded at $542.44. This shows that the company’s stock value has crossed $505 billion. To be true, Apple’s stock value have gone up substantially within the past two months of the year 2012.
Apple has already sent out invitations to a select few to attend the iPad 3 release function. Reports suggest that Apple has planned many changes and new features in the iPad 3. Reports suggest that the eighth most valued brand in the world has ordered its suppliers to manufacture and send more than seven million high resolution panel for the next gen Apple tablet. This again is a clear indication that Apple will not delay the launch of the new tablet beyond March.
Improvements in iPad 3 include better display, more powerful processor and better camera. A recent report from Digitimes indicates that the gen next iPad resolution, which has been a heavily discussed aspect of it, especially considering Apple didn’t upgrade the iPad 2′s display, will improve considerably. There has been chatter that the iPad 3 would feature a retina display, but another report suggested that the company has struggled to reach the level of pixel density necessary, and it said Apple might instead go with the intermediate option of 1,600×1,200 resolution.
There are reasons to believe that Apple may indeed improve the pixel quality of the third generation tablet. Meanwhile critics are not sure about the extent of the pixel quality improvement in the new iPad. A reader says, “I don’t see Apple using such a high density screen. For an iPhone, we’ve all seen how it can improve readability on such a small screen. On an iPad, there is no reason for such high resolution, there is enough real estate to make things legible with a good resolution. It really is overkill. And will again make the app world split itself with a standard version, a Retina version, an HD version, and now a FullHD version”.
