Security Firm Shows How They Can Crack Your iPhone’s Passcode In 10 Minutes (VIDEO)

iOS is considered as the most secure mobile operating system ever shipped but is it that good? Well it’s way better than Android which is the leading mobile operating system in the world in comparison. No matter how much secure Apple makes their iOS there is always a security hole somewhere which developers keep looking for. As we mentioned in a post couple of days ago that these security vulnerabilities could be sold to security agencies for a good amount of money or these vulnerabilities could also be used for jailbreak or simply hacking your iOS device.

A Swedish security company demonstrated how easy it is to hack your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad and grab almost every information from it in under 10 minutes using a sophisticated in-house software called XRY. Don’t believe it? Well that’s exactly how FBI, Local Police department and other secret agencies crack your device to grab every detail about your communications even if you’ve passcode protected your iPhone. In case you’re wondering what’s at stake here, the list is pretty long and terrifying, your call records, your messages, your SMS/MMS history, your locations and even your key strokes are accessible in under 10 minutes.

Mike Dickinson, the firm’s marketing director and the voice in the videos, says that the company sells products capable of accessing passcode-protected iOS and Android devices in over 60 countries. It supplies 98% of the U.K.’s police departments, for instance, as well as many American police departments and the FBI. Its largest single customer is the U.S. military.  ”When people aren’t wearing uniforms, looking at mobile phones to identify people is quite helpful,” Dickinson says by way of explanation.

Here’s the video in which XRY software is doing its magic and cracking iPhone:

As you can see every time you need to extract something you will need to put your iOS device in DFU mode though they didn’t mention it in the video but we all know about DFU don’t we?

This is an alarming situation, anyone can just grab your iPhone and not only unlock but also access your personal details. In my personal opinion this security flaw is beyond Apple’s reach because it works in DFU mode and it can’t be fixed.
