Cut the Rope is a physics-based puzzle video game developed for iOS by ZeptoLab. The game was made available on the App Store in 2010 and since then it has been a great hit among iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users with over 100 million downloads only nine days after launch and by December 2010, the game has scored three million purchases and is now at the top of the App Store charts.



Cut the Rope plot is very simple, very enjoyable, and super engaging. The object of each level is to maneuver a piece of candy into the mouth of a green cartoon monster called “Om Nom” while avoiding floating bubbles and obstacles like spikes.

Cut the Rope has been voted by IGN as the best game on the iPhone last year and now it’s coming to the Mac.The Mac version of the game is optimized for landscape gameplay of up to 2560× 1440 pixels covering by that every inch of the screen.

Developer ZeptoLab has redeveloped some of the levels of the game for more harmonious synchronization with mouses and trackpads. The game is really competitive. However, an update of the game is expected to release with the roll out of the new version of OS X, OS X Mountain Lion, released to developers last week and is said to bring Game Center support.
