FireCore releases a tethered jailbreak tool for Apple TV2 and new TV Flash(black)! Finally developers have released a jailbreak tool for Apple TV2. Thanks to the people at FireCore, we can all enjoy jailbreaking the new 5.0 (iOS 5.1) Apple TV software with Seas0nPass jailbreak and also enjoy the new TV Flash (black)! However, the jailbreak available is currently a tethered one meaning that you will have to connect your Apple TV to your computer when you switch it on for the first time.

 



iPhone Dev team did release a tool similar to Seas0nPass jailbreak and it was called Pwnage Tool. Pwnage was mainly concerned with creating custom IPSW files which you can later restore with iTunes. SeasonPass is a jailbreak tool that uses a simple ‘tethered boot’ option which you can use for newer Apple TV firmware. The TV Flash (black) is software that provides you with many features and options you can enjoy with your black Apple TV.

The new 5.0 Apple TV software comes in with lots of amazing features such as:
